[edit] Convening letter
is available from here. It contains local arrangement information and application forms.
[edit] Venue
The meeting willl be held at Kudan Kaikan Hotel (1-6-5, Kudan-minami, Chiyoda-ku, 102-0074, Tokyo, Japan ). Its English map is available.
Kudan-kaikan is a pure Japanese style building (ie, no English sign :)). Below is how to reach the venue by subway.
1. Take a subway and go to Kudan-shita station. Kudan-shita station is available from Hanzomon line, Tozai line and Toei Shinjuku line.
2. Go out from exit # 4. There is a large crossing.
3. Look right, and you will find a building shown below.
4. Enter the building from entrance with red sunshade, and go to 2nd floor (1 floor up) with elevator (left).
5. Walk right, and there is a registration desk.
Hotels
We found that on July 16 there is a festival nearby, and that night the hotel is fully booked. And the Internet is not available in its rooms. So we local arrangement group would like to recommend you other four hotels shown in Hotel Information and Reservation Form. They are not very close to the venue, though. The venue is in the very center of Tokyo (next to it is the Emperor's Palace), and hotels nearby are all luxuary ones.
You may choose any other hotels, of course (there are many hotels in Tokyo and thanks to 15-year recession Tokyo is a cheap city), but if you would like to book the recommended ones, please fill out the form included in the convening letter and e-mail it (koike@ntour.nec.co.jp) or fax it (fax: +81-3-3453-7259) to Mr Tomohiro Koike of NEC Tourist. The deadline is 14th June, 2007.

[edit] Cool Biz
We local arrangement group respect FG chairs for their bravery to have a meeting in Tokyo in July. It's HOT. But there is a good news. A few years ago Japanese government started a campaign 'cool biz' to fight global warming. If you want to demonstrate you are a good friend of the Earth, never wear a tie when you wear a suit or tailcoat.
