The ITU-T Study Group 17 at its Closing Plenary Meeting, 28 Sept 2007, recommended that the Telecommunication Standardization Advisory Group (TSAG) approve the creation of a IdM-GSI at its 3-7 Dec 2007 meeting based on draft GSI-IdM Terms of Reference.
