Purpose and Scope. This site is home of the ITU-T IdM Focus Group Discovery Working Group. Discovery consists of the mechanisms by which authoritative Identity resources are found for subsequent query.

This Working Group was created to compile information about the existing discovery environment through outreach and study begun at the 1st meeting, and to note common directions for which IdM capabilities may be necessary through the work of other working groups, especially Architectural.

  • Maintain a global compilation concerning existing discovery mechanisms, including technical capability requirements.
  • Recommendations concerning further actions necessary by ITU-T or other IdM forums.
